The 2012 legislative session is now history. Thankfully, the state's economy is somewhat improved and for the first time in four years, we did not have to face cuts in vital services. Also, we were better able to fund growth in public education. As a member of the Public Education Appropriations Committee and Standing Committee, I have been a strong advocate for the children of our state. Also, I feel successful in protecting the concerns and needs of all of our citizens in District 46. I have tried to listen to my constituents and communicate with them. Each week during the session, we sent out 650 updates and I personally answered hundreds of emails.
I would like to continue to be the voice of those in this area and must now face a re-election campaign. In our district, this requires a lot of hard work and is impossible to accomplish alone. I am in need of support in the following areas:
• As the campaign is expensive, any financial contribution would be greatly appreciated.
• Would you willing to post a sign on the lawn?
• If you have some free time in the evening August-October, would you consider
volunteering to help with the campaign.
